Daniel Torres Burriel
CEO & Founder
Daniel has more than 18 years of experience in UX fieldwork. With a passion for UX and global user research, Daniel edited several books on UX topics. His last book has recently been published: "Usability: Stop Suffering" (2018).
He is a well-known presenter at national and international conferences on topics such as usability, accessibility, UX, and information architecture, and has written and published dozens of technical and industry articles. He lectures frequently on the latest trends in UX research. Daniel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Zaragoza, Spain.

Alfonso Romay
Chief Operating Officer
Alfonso leads the overall strategy for Torresburriel Estudio. He landed on his feet working in tech, and has been in a number of roles over the years, across business, product and project.
His work comprises designing and implementing business strategies, while transforming results activating innovation potential and driving change. His job is also to help clients define winning value propositions that focus on delivering customer value through UX strategy.
Alfonso obsessively reads books, searching for new mental models. He holds a Master’s Degree on Computer Science (1998) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and a Master’s Degree on Digital Business Management (2009) from UOC, Spain.

Laura Calvo
UX Specialist
Laura has 10 years of experience in research activities. She masters end-to-end UX process, including quantitative and qualitative user research for discovery and product definition, user testing, and usability evaluations on complex subjects for different industries, such as financial services, government and education.
Laura holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (2000), Master's Degree in Anthropology (2002) and Business Mediation (2006), and Postgraduate's Certificate in Management for Third-Sector Companies (2004) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain.

Samuel Gimeno
UX Evangelist
Samuel is a strong evangelist for user-centered design best practices. His work is to identify cutting-edge trends and future movements in user experience, sharing knowledge with the world and empowering our teams to work on more strategic initiatives instead of facing roadblocks along the way.
He is an avid reader with a cup of coffee on a wide range of topics from History to technology, and holds a Higher Technical Certificate in IT Systems Administration (2012).

Allende Isasi
UX Specialist
Allende is truly enthusiastic and passionate about making users life easier. Identifying problem spaces and creating solutions that fills gaps in a user’s life is at the heart of what she wants to do.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Market Research (2016) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, a Master's Degree in E-Commerce and Digital Marketing (2016) from the University Miguel Hernández, Spain, and a Master's Degree in Marketing and Commercial Management (2017), from ESIC Business & Marketing School.

Sara López
UX Specialist
Sara loves thinking on paper and crafting new ideas into something tangible. The opportunity to talk to users and create products that keep them entertained and empowered is a real challenge for her.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Research (2016), and a Master's Degree in Digital Business (2017) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain.

Amaia Ibáñez
UX Specialist
Amaia focus her product or service design on customer’s motivations, behaviours and pain points. She is enthusiastic about translating these insights into creating something that’s meaningful and useful.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Market Research (2015) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and a Master's Degree in Marketing, Design and Advertising (2017).

José Luis Lizano
Diseñador UX
José Luis is a visual designer that breaks with the usual stereotypes. His visual language mastery makes him an excellent professional that become a leader when it comes about communication and reaching goals through the shape. His vast experience makes him unique.
He is a Senior Technician in Design and Editorial Production, Senior Technician in Graphic Arts Industries, and also a Senior Technician specialised in Audiovisual Media.

Sara Martín
UX Intern
Sara is involved in her training process and works with her colleagues in the department of training and user experience as a teaching intern. Students management, exercises and dynamics of UX Learn are her daily work.
She got a Business Administration and Management degree in 2017 and is currently studying a Business Electronic Administration Masterʼs Degree at the University of Zaragoza.
Our facilities
Our UX Lab: where the magic happens
Our UX Lab capabilities facilitate your research and testing activities in a shorter timeframe without the need to rent external facilities. Lab equipment is mobile, so it may be set up anywhere.
We offer the latest high-quality testing equipment and eye tracking that requires minimal setup time, is non-intrusive for participants, and features digital recording capability. Sessions can be viewed from large observation rooms with one-way mirrors and monitors or remotely via live streaming. We also include a separate observation area with real-time display of tests.
We also provide specialized cameras for mobile devices, paper documents and physical products, as well as real-time translation of sessions and streaming of translated audio to observation rooms.
The testing room is also used for research activities, such as focus groups and in-depth interviews.
