Interesting commentary. Yes, it’s an experiment. Boxes are generally very suitable in forms (for example I have used them elsewhere on the site) but this registration form tries to be a bit nicer and more provocative than the norm - just to lure people into registering :-). I’m not sure if it hinders the usability, but I might just try to change the fields into normal boxes and see if it affects the amount of people who fill the form.

As for the CMS, the form feature is not the main point of it anyway, the main point of the whole service is just trying to be useful and it includes a few things.

P.S. I had to use Google language tools to translate the blog posting into English, so I hope I got most of it right. Those translation tools produce some creative language….

Cuando lo vi hace unos días, me resultó bastante curioso.

A veces, si quieres encontrar ese “punto” de diseño que te haga diferente al resto puedes cometer el error de hacer algo que es ampliamente reconocido (como es el caso de un campo de un formulario web) y usable, en algo irreconocible e inaccesible, casi invisible.

Por lo demás, como no todo tiene que ser negativo, el sitio me gustó bastante. Unos colores muy agradables, sobre todo el elegido para fondo, y con una estética muy sencilla, nada recargada.

Lástima lo del formulario.

Estoy tan acostumbrada a las cajas de formularios, que probablemente pensaría que no es un formulario y que habría que imprimirlo y mandarlo en papel.
